09.25.08 Even More

Just a reminder Tuesday, October 2nd is the next beer club meeting. Perfect timing to get started with our Oktoberfest celebration. Since it has been so popular, JB has decided to break out the Randall on the weekends for our patrons enjoyment. Look for it on fridday and Saturday night.

We are also happy to say that our draft sellection will be pretty interesting this season. Already we have the Messiah Bold Oak Aged on draft. Soon we will also have Ayinger Celebrator on draft as well. Our Oktoberfest selection will consist of Paulaner, Hacker Pschorr, Hofbrau, and Ayinger Oktoberfest rotated on draft all month.

09.18.08 Oktoberfest & More

It's almost that time of year again, we will be kicking off our Oktoberfest celebration on October 1st as usual. It is sure to be and exciting month for us and there are plenty of nice prizes to be won from the Ballon Bust as well as great live musik and beer specials through out the entire month.

Also, We are sure that people have been hearing whispers of a Dunderbaks relocation. Well the rumors are true. This will be the last year in which we will be located in the University Mall. Our new location will be on Bruce B. Downs a few doors down from Acropolis. Which means we will be open later and have between 40-60 beers on draft as well as live musik and an expanded menu. 2009 is sure to be an exciting year for us and our patrons.

09.5.08 Freaktoberfest

Next Tuesday, September 9th, there will be a representative from Shmaltz Brewing Company presenting free samples of the new Freaktoberfest Halloween inspired beer as well as Human Blockhead. Also, we will be doing happy hour all evening from 4-close.

08.26.08 HopTember Fest!!!

On Saturday September 6th, Mr. Dunderbaks will be having a HOP filled event dubbed, HopTember Fest. We will be having a Dogfish Head 90min IPA through a Randel with 3lb of fresh hops. We will also have the one and only keg of Dogfish Head 120min in Tampa. We will also be having Great Divide's Hercules Dbl IPA, Weirbacher's Hops Infusion, as well as Lagunitas Serious. If you are an IPA fan you don't want to miss this event

08.13.08 Update

It's been a while folks but we are still here :). We have had a lot of new additions to our draft list this summer which is tough and exciting and we plan on keeping you up to date by posting what new and up coming. Also for those of you who just love our Pomme Frits, you may have noticed that they are a bit differnt now. That is because we have begun making them from scratch, I'm talking slicing and frying the potatoes by hand. We feel that this extra bit of work is well worth the satisfaction we see on our patron's faces.

07.06.08 Enjoying Independence

We hope everyone enjoyed there holiday weekend and got to see plenty of fireworks. We have a few things wirth mentioning, first to all brewing enthusiast the Interclub beer judging will as always be on the second Tuesday of the month, everyone is welcome to come. Also, on Saturday the 12th there will be a beginners brewing event at Southern Brewing supply.

We have recently begune to sell a few novelty aprons for both the ladies and fellas, in addition to 2 liter acrylic mugs (harder to break). We will also soon have a Rogue Imperial Porter on our cask engine.

06.05.07 Update

We now know that the upcoming Beer and Cheese pairing will be held on Monday, June 9th at 7:00pm at Mr. Dunderbaks. There is sure to be a nice combination of beers and cheeses. Tickets are $10.00 and are limited so get them quick.

Also we have begun to carry a variety of Weyerbacher beers in the bottle aswell as there HOPS INFUSION IPA on draft.

05.26.07 Upcoming Events

Just a reminder to all you brewers, this Friday is the deadline for the Dunedin Brewery Pepper Bear Competition, details can be found on there site. Also we will be hosting a Beer and Cheese pairing with Lost Kanagaroo Pub this summer. We will have more details as soon as a date is chosen. Also on our Cask Engine we now have Shipyard Fuggles IPA. TASTY!!!

04.20.08 April Event

On Friday April 25th, Shmaltz Brewing Company will be presenting there Lenny Rye IPA Whisky aged keg at Mr. Dunderbaks. It will be the only keg of its kind brought to Florida. We now also have the Sea Dog Old Thumper Cask on our new beer engine aswell

03.22.08 Pirate Invasion

Hello everyone, we hope that you have enjoyed all of the events that have been held so far. We would like to congratulate Danny Williams from Dunedin Brewers Guild for winning Best of Show this year, and Tom Wheatley form Tampa BAy BEERS for winning Best of Show Mead.

Next Tuesday 03.25.08, we will be having a troop of pirate singers visiting from the Renaissance Faire at 7:00pm. Also if you come during that time, your first 10oz draft will be free.

We have also begun participating in the USF area Feed-a-Bull program, which provides home delivery from some of your favorite restaurants in the USF area

02.24.08 BFBC Award Ceremony

Dunedin Brewers Guild will be hosting the BFBC award ceremony at Mr.Dunderbaks at 6:30 pm on March 1st. The back half of the restaurant will be reserved for this event.

02.12.07 Event Updates

We would like to thank everyone who came out to the Dunderbaks Beer and Cheese Pairing. The event was a succes with tickets completely selling out.

We now have tickets available for Try This and Brewers Ball. Brewers Ball Advanced tickets will be $25.00, and Try This tickets will be $20.00 in advance for a single ticket, $35.00 in advance for two tickets or $25.00 per ticket at the door.

01.14.07 Winter/Spring Events

We hope everyone is having a good start to 2008. We have a lot of news to share with you regarding upcoming events for the Winter and Spring Seasons.

First off we want to remind all of the homebrewers that the deadline for registration for the 2008 Best Florida Beer Homebrew Competition is February 15th, If you have any questions please contact Nelson Crowle at 727.534.694 or by email here. The judging will be held on February 29th at Yuengling Brewery. Mr. Dunderbaks will be hosting the award dinner on March 1st.

February 9th we will be having our Annual Beer and Cheese Pairing. We will have more details as the date gets closer.

On February 25th Dunedin Brewery will be having there Stogies and Stouts event, hosting a variety of cigars and stout beers details about the event can be found here.

on Feruary 29th Southern Brewing Supplies will also be doing a beer and food pairing. we will have more details as the event approaches.

Also there will be a little gathering you may have heard of it before happing on March 9th. Yes my friends its the BREWERS BALL!! Which will as always be held at Skippers Smoke House. Advanced ticket sales are already available through the Best Florida Beer website

12.17.07 Beer Club postponed

Due to the Holiday hours, January's meeting will be held on January 8, 2008 instead of January 1, 2008. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

12.17.07 Extended Mall Hours

The mall will be opening early and closing later in order to give everyone time to do holiday shopping. Which means that we will be open even longer for all of our patrons. You can check the extended holiday hours here.

 

12.03.07 Christmas is here!

Happy Holidays to all our patrons, we have a lot of new information to share with all of you. First of which is that this upcoming saturday December the 8th we will be having our Tampa Bay B.E.E.R.S Christmas Bash! WHich means free food and beer for all of our club members.

Also we now have in stock our "Make Beer Not War" tees, you will see our employees aswell as a few customers wearing them around the store. The shirts come in red, green, brown, and black from sizes small-xxxlarge and purchase able for $15.00. Be sure to ask your server for availabilty they sell pretty quick

If you're looking for a great Christmas gift for the beer drinker we also have an assortment of Christmas beer gift packs including : Chimay, Corsendonk, St.Bernardus, Delrium Noel, and Triple Karmelite to name a few.

10.31.07 Let the holidays begin

Happy Halloween! As our yearly Oktoberfest celebration draws to a close we would like to thank all of our customers for coming out and supporting us this month, we look forward to your continued patronage through out the holidays.

Speaking of the holidays, we have begun to receive or first shipments of holiday goods, such as stollen, a wide assortment of lebkuchen, and of cource Advent Calenders.

For all you beer enthusiast, don't forget that Tuesday November 6th is the next B.E.E.R.S meeting and judging will be held on the following tuesday. We also now exclusively carry St. Somewhere (Bob's Beer) Saison and Leta Divina on draft. For anyone who hasn't tried it yet we still have Garret Oliver's Brooklyn wheat (8% ABV) available on draft. Also there may be a BCJP judging course held at Dunderbaks on Sunday, call the store for more details.

10.17.07 Oktoberfest is here

All through the month of October we will be having our annual Oktoberfest celebration. Now for you long time customers you know what the deal is but for our new patrons one thing you will notice when you come in is that the place is decked out in ballons, these arn't just for decor. Each ballon has prize in it, ranging anywhere from cupons to nice drinking glasses. There are many ways to win all of which enjoyable just ask your server what you have to do to pop a ballon and they will give you details. So come in have a pint, better yet a liter and win free stuff. Also every Friday night in October we will be having a live accordion player so you don't want to miss that
